Default exhust systems??

i recently redid my rear exhaust, i got rid of my cat-backs and built some pipes that just come out 45degrees just behind the rear wheels. it sounds really nice and shifts a little quicker, its a real nice setup. but my question comes down to installing header dump valves. i like to run my 'stang against all my buddies imports, i smoke them all the time. i was just wondering what the benefits and drawbacks are for dumps and how hard they are to make and install.

You are not making anywhere near enough power to benefit from dumps. You will lose low end torque which is the only thing helping your non-pi mustang beat imports. Get to around 600rwhp then ask again.

lol owche, anyone else hear a gunshot?
you dont want dumps, i have heard alot about how they drone and make the cabin smell like exaust when you stop for any amount of time.
and electric cutouts are expensive. manual ones are easy to make but a pita to open and close whenever you wanna roar.
stick with side exits or stock. 2 1/4" ftw

if you really wanna help your car get an o/r midpipe or and aftermarket one with high flow cats.
