Hey there everybody. My car seems to be making a strange noise on startup in the colder weather. I can hear it more from inside the car than the outside of the car or under the hood. It almost sounds like a ticking noise but it is definitaly not the standard 4.6L ticking noise that is posted on the header for this forum. It goes away after the car is warmed up for a few minutes, and the warmer the weather, the less time it takes for the sound to go away. Just wondering if anyone can help out. I've had it at one dealer and they say they can't hear anything abnormal.

It probably just the HLAs clattering a bit before they pump up--theytick in my car for asecond or two sometimes--it's normal...

I appreciate the answer. The noise that mine has is definetely there for a few minutes after I start it, not just a couple seconds though. After that, the car runs just perfect.
