Default oxgen sensor help!

i hooked my car up to a scanner today and got the P0133 code for bank 1 sensor 1 slow response. i have stock manifolds.

can i just use the tuner to cancel the code and be done with it? i don't really need to replace the o2 sensor do i? i don't see how the exhaust not heating up fast enough would cause any problems, but i'm not an expert. help plz!

How many miles on your car. You can clear the code, but it'd just going to come back if there is a true issue. If you end up replacing your o2 sensor, make sure you do it w/ ford parts. I attempted after market from autozone and the screwed everything up. Went back and put in stock o2 and everyhitng was fine. Your going to pay abput $80 a pc.

the car only has 50,000 miles so i don't see how the sensor would go bad that fast. also, i don't know if it matters or not, but the SES light came on for a day earlier this week, but it hasn't come back since then. the car still stutters every now and then though

what brand are the OEM sensors? motorcraft?

ya ur just gonna have to change the o2. u can get an eliminator if u want but that is all dep. on if u have mods, and u actually need to trick the o2. if not, get a ford part.

go to a ford dealer and get the part. Most ford dealers do it at cost anyways. When they told me the price per o2, I *&^*&^. Let them know you can get a o2 at autozone for $45 and they probably will lower your cost. It worked for me. You car is ready for 2 new o2. Ford recom. them at 60,000 miles. Realize you have 4 o2's.2 on the bottom of your mainfold(leftbank, right bank)and 2 behind your cats. I suggest replacing the 2 on the manifold first. You will have to ask the dealership, but I don'
t rememeber if bank 1 is front or back or left or right. IM sure it's the front o2 sensors. Ill check my post from a couple years back and get back w/ you. All my sensores issues went away when I replaced my o2 w/ ford parts.

It's the front sensor on the passenger's side. Here are some of the possible causes...

My car threw that code at 45000 miles. I just replaced the sensor and was done with it. Hasn't come back yet.
