Default i have a ? about a pi motor

my ? is i have a 1998 gt and i am rebulding the motorand the guy who is doing it says it is a pi motor wich i did not know how can i tell by looking at the motor.

If it's stock it's not a PI engine. Take a picture of the intake manifold, under the valve covers, and the front timing cover. I can tell you then.

Intake manifold- fist runner in the front goes to the drivers side.

Heads- intake ports are square

On the street- If it gets beat by civics then its not pi

if you can't tell from doing that, you can tell by taking the valve covers off and looking on the heads. there was a a recent thread on here that shows exactly how to tell that way. try searching it

^ other then looking for the "PI" casting mark (exhaust side of head) I don't know what your talking about. There is really no difference looking under the valve cover.

if it is indeed a full pi motor then:
check the first intake runner
if it goes to the driver side then pi
if its to the passenger side its a npi
