Default Cams & Springs

I am doing a PI head and intake swap on my 1996 GT and I went ahead and got the heads gasket matched. In addition I installed a set of Comp Cams springs 26113-6 and Comp Cams XE262H. My question is that I was wondering if I need to check the spring pressure on the new springs. My buddy was telling me that I need to ensure installed seat pressure are comparable. He said that if not I can end up with inconsistency between cylinders and my Piston to Valve clearance could become an issue when the engine gets into the upper RPM range. I don't mind taking the heads to machine shop to get them checked, but what is everyone's opinion on this?

Thanks,
Jman
