you get the supercharger and "some pipes" and MAYBE a fuel pump if you are a comlete ******* that doesnt know how to shop or purchase things. thats not a valid reason for choosing the TT over the supercharger ... u can find plenty of complete supercharger kits that come with everything u need for a perfect install

yea, with superchargers you get everything you need for the upgrade. with alot of the kits you get fuel injectors, fuel pumps, all nessary piping, instructions, the charger, belts, pulleys, intercoolers (if its the intercooler kit), air filters, all nessary bolts, clamps, and hoses, and just about everything except the tune. so pretty much with the supercharger and turbo is the cost and with the turbo you get a whole new front suspension.

Superchargers are for the street. (having fun)

Turbos are for the track. (track times/dyno numbers)

TT Vs. SC = Apples Vs. Oranges. Each one has pros and cons. tt turbo is more costly and more complicated than the SC but it IS more efficient. The SC is cheaper and usually easier to maintain than the turbo but it uses engine power, which no matter how much HP you have it will be parasitic loss. It's not usually that much but there is loss. The tt my is what I'm going to get thanks to my Platinum Visa, but i'm going to do other work before I do my power adder. Oh yeah, for the guys that don't think turbo is for domestics. SRT-4's can be a real pain for us fellow mustang owners and the saleen S7 TURBO (tt V8 800+ hp) will crush pretty much any exotic... domestic and import for that matter. And I won't even mention the turbo fox bodies.

Does anyone have a price range for a TT setup? And how much would the installation be?

A guy I know is doing it right now. His turbos are running around $6,000.00. After all is said and done, he should have somewhere around $20,000.00 - $22,000.00.

Yup, the figures are correct...But, he got a new forged short block built, new Patriot heads (YUCK), clutch, etc. Once you really get into the high HP mods, you have to remember to upgrade the supporting components as well.

Go to www.turbochargedpower.com and those guys will be able to help you decide. I am going with a stage 2 TT kit from them and it is gonna run me about $7100 but I am installing it. They will do the install for you and I think they charge like 2K for a stage 1 install. Check them out man, they will point you in the right direction.
