TFS 4.6L FMOD upper plenum facts

-PP copied our design about 4 years ago

-TFS plenum castings are made in Cleveland, Ohio by quality american foundryman

-Machined to QS-9001 quality standards

-Our casting are clearly marked MADE IN USA, TFS-FMOD-46L, WA on the firewall side

-Watch for people trying to sell the PP as a TFS part, the castings are different (even though they look similar), the PP will leak with some stock throttle bodies (see pictures). TFS has extra material on outside of flange, for TB’s that have a pocket cast in to the back of the flange (see picture). This was a revision to the TFS casting shortly after it was introduced in 2003

-TFS-51800001, TFS-518B0001, TFS-51811001 carry CARB # D-369-5 for 2004 and older 4.6L mustangs

-3/4” higher then stock plenum

-Comes with fittings for small and large PCV connection

-We offer versions that fit Explorer, Cougar, Thunderbird (basically an extra vacuum fitting)

-Customers often see 10-15hp increase over stock unit

well there it is folks, straight from the manufacturer. I have a trickflow plenum and i have no complaints. it was easy to install and required no adjustments. I would buy again, especially for the price.

Click on this link, scroll down about 50%. It clearly demonstrates Trickflow is the worse performing intake on the market
http://www.accufabracing.com/Flow%20Data.htm

There is also a Dyno sheet on stickies, that shows trickflows rank amongst all other intakes tested.

No, it's not biased. Look at the top, tested by whom? Also, i'm pretty sureTrickflow is not accufabs biggest oponent. They want to establish there position as #1. And they are, I dont think anyone denies the fact Accfab makes the most power, its just that a lot of people say the extra 140 dollars arent worth the margin they are better by. Well, i did believe that, but now i disagree. Also, Look at the C&L, they had the biggest gain with the75mm Throttle body and the smallest gain with the 70mm, justas their website says it would. And again, i remember a time, where C&L even had a reference to the Accufab findings. Now, TrickFlow, you guys come in here and defend your product. YOU guys show me a CFM chart that compares yourself against all other plenums.

Further more, the stickies, on THIS site, show a dyno, that is certainly not biased at all. The trickflow shows consistantly to be the weakest link. I also cant remember the magazine, but a mustang magazine has also done a dyno.

Hell, look for yourself..compare accufab to the inside of the trickflow.

The thing is, i've bought a few plenums from trick flow.. i've given them about 400 dollars in about 4 months. I install parts for people, mostly little rice parts..cold air intakes, plenums, catbacks.. i make pretty good money at it. I found out about trickflow not too long ago, and figured, you know, if i buy trickflow, i save a lot of money, instead of always installing accufab. I can charge them just a tad lower than i would before, make a much bigger profit. And it worked, just fine.. people were happy, I was happy.. then I got a defective part.. and they refused to give me a refund. I still had 2 of their good working ( i assume) plenums in my posession. I sold them on here, and i took a hit on mine and learned a valuable lesson.

People will buy what ever they can afford. Trickflow has a nice look ( i like the way all my finishes looked) and for the price its a nice piece. But even if it is not defective, compared to the rest, the inside of the trickflow is the worse. even looking at it, it doesnt appear much bigger than stock and when you run your hand in the inside, it's rough, it feels like its got millions of little microscopic pebbles lodged in it.

My objective is not to change peoples minds, you know, if you've got a trickflow product and you like it, good for you, keep using it. . And heck, they may really well have good Heads.. i don't know, i've never used them, i just know i never will unlesstheyprove to me that theycan standbehind their product..whichto me means i want my money back.My aim, is to inform people in the search, to the guy thats searching this forum using the search function, and happens to stumble on this thread. And to my friends that i know in person.

If Trickflow gave me my goddamn refund, believe me i would of just been like 'well mistakes happen' and to date, i probably would of bought almost 1200 dollarsworth oftheir plenums! and probably more, once i get my business running and start investing money in parts that are more expensive and valuable than a little plenum
