Call a dealer and give your VIN I had a 97 with the same problem. Found out ford had a recall. Ford fixed it at no cost.

I noticed a HUGE gain from my PI intake and cams swap. I left the NPI heads on, and just installed the PI cams so I can add a blower down the road with higher boost capability.

I would not change a thing with my setup. Swap is well worth the money, and you DO gain noticible power from it. Who ever told you otherwise, smokes crack. And you do not need to waste the monry on adaptor plates. All the info you need to do this is out there, just look around.

You say it is bad to force more air into the motor, and you say the 75mm tb is better. What do you think the bigger tb is doing?? That makes no sense at all.
i never said that. its not bad to force air into the intake...thats what a blower does...and u also have cams. so its taking in more air than it did stock. so of course its gonna work better w/ a higher flowing intake. im talking about a completely stock npi motor like the OP has.

EVEN IF HE DIDNT HAVE CAMS HE WOULD HAVE PICKED UP A GOOD 15RWHP FROM THE MANIFOLD AND PULLED CLOSER TO REDLINE THAN A NON PI MANIFOLD WOULD HAVE. So, considering i had stock non pi heads/cams, youre telling me that if it wasn't for the blower i would have not picked up any hp/tq? But solely because of the blower, i picked up 30rwhp/18tq? thats what youre telling me right?

heres just a quick search i found:

http://www.americanmuscleregistry.co...ad.php?p=24228

read his thread...a PI manifold swap n/a is typically worth 18rwhp, N/A WITH NON PI HEADS/CAMS. do you seriously think its a coincidence that guys on different forums pull these numbers from their ***?

You my friend are an idiot. There are dyno sheets everywhere of NPI heads and cams with a PI intake manifold that have 10-15rwhp gains.
