Actually you have no CEL light, it's an SES (Service Engine Soon) light. Beyond that, as NinetySixGT said--"give it time"...In throwing DTC code terms "about a week or so ago" is a meaningless reference. The PCM makes its decision based on drive cycles, the key ingredient of which is the engine being at "normal operating temperature" for at least 10 minutes, For the catalyst efficiency monitoring system there are a number of other considtion that must be met--if you make short (less than 20 miles) around town sorts of trips this may not have happened yet...

If there's a Harbor Freight store near you they have a good deal on a heat shrink tubing assortment (pick up their "usually around $10 on sale" heat gun too, worth every penny). Radio Shack used to have some good PTFE dielectric grease but they discontinued it--your FLAPS may have something similar, look for "dielectric" and "PTFE" on the labels.

Had no idea that MIL eliminators were merely caps and resistors!

Thanks CliffyK
