MPH Paxton Novi-2000 Mongoose kit FTW. Thats what I would do if I started it all over.

edit: if you never plan on getting a forged bottom end, then go Procharger P-1sc. You can pick one up for a few hundred more than the Mogoose kit from JMSchip and it comes intercooled. But if you even have the slightest chance of building the bottom end, then don't waste your time with an entry level blower. Look into the Novi-2000, Procharger D-1sc, or the Vortech T-trim. They won't be too much more to upgrade the kits and you'll be much happier down the road.
True, you can just go ahead and do that. Most places that sell ProCharger kits have the offer to upgrade to the D-1S/C head unit for $350 or $400 bucks more. The place I got it from runs deals, where if you turn in a functional P-1 head unit to them, They'll give you a 75% discount on a D-1 head unit, or 50% on an F-1 head unit. You'll probably run into a wall with a P-1 at about 625RWHP give or take, at about 13-14psi. Just depends on how much power you really want to end up making. I've got the P-1 stage-2 kit, and I'll probably top out between 580-600 RWHP early next yr when I'm finally done with the build I'm working on now. Your choice brudda..

is there a hp difference to be seen on a stock motor between the novi 2000 mongoose kit and the vortech kit?

Pretty much any supercharger on the market for the 99-04 GT will put out more power than the stock engine is capable of. That being said, no there would be no difference in on a stock motor. The Novi-2000 is a much more efficient blower and will push way more power down the road than the vortech s-trim if you ever do decide to build the bottom end.

You don't have to use that intercooler. Many people have had success with some nice front mounted bar/plate style intercoolers on ebay for a few hundred. There will probably be some modification required for a universal kit, but it will save you a ton of money over the paxton intercooler.

+1, if you dont want to spend the money on the paxton your only other option is to fab one up. I bought the paxton, and every pipe fit perft with absolutely no fabbing, but thats what you pay for. Like said, if you are just looking to max out your bottom end, then any blower will do the job. But if youre looking to eventually build it up, go with the novi 2000, D1sc, or T-trim. all will put you where you want to be at.

Mongoose kit from MPH FTW! I love vortech buy my bearings have gone bad twice which required a minor rebuild. It was under warranty but I was out of a car for 2 weeks each time. You can run more boost with the Novi 2000.

On a daily driver is an intercooler required or just a good idea?
