WOW you're just full of good helpful information arent you? But at least you added one to your post count.

OP, have you tried to pull the valve covers and make sure that you torqued everything down to spec?

I posted a comment on the video. Did you have those cams degreed, or did you just line up the stock timing marks? Sounds like maybe PTV contact. Did you at least turn the engine over by hand before starting it? It only takes a few seconds of the car running on the first start for the valvetrain to stop chattering from the lack of oil, so thats not your problem.

The stock timing gears can be off as much as 8 degrees either way. That in combination with the long duration of the Comp270s, you can end up with piston to valve contact on the exhaust valve. Pull your spark plugs out and look inside with a borescope. If you see little crescent moon shaped divits in the top of your pistons, then pull that timing cover back off and degree those cams before you end up with a bent valve.

I am quite suprised that they can be off 8* that seems like a lot... I don't have comp270's, that video is just what my car sounds like i have cms stage 1's. also i know i should use the search but how would I go about degreing the cams. i just makred the chains and realigned them to the new cams.

Well, you should definitely not have PTV issues with CMS stage 1s. Their stage 2s don't even have issues. Post a vid of your car since unless we hear your car, we are just shooting in the dark at all the possible things taht can go wrong with a cam install.

I had never heard of PVC with stage 1's. I thought that it may have been alot of air in the lash adjusters. But i dont know any more.[:@]

No, I only mentioned it because the vid you posted said comp270s. If they are stage 1s and you installed them correctly even without degreeing them, you shouldn't have any issues in that area. The lash adjusters even if they were new would only run dry for a couple of seconds on the first start-up and then the noise would go away. Lets see a vid of YOUR car and we'll try to figure out what it is.
