To achieve 300 your going to need full exhaust (headers o/r xpipe) full intake (CAI upper plenum and TB) a cam and a tune to match everthing. Then youll probably be running 300 but for the cost of it all, a nice shot of the juice will get u there much easier.

with 4.10's what RPM would I be in fourth gear and also fith gear at 80 mph..... I hate using fith gear. Mabye I will like it more if its up around 3000-3500 RPM. Right now its at around 2000 RPM. way to sluggish on the highway, thats why I keep it in 4th.

sorry but im sick of this ****....... why would ford make a v8 that ony puts out only 260hp...anyway what i am saying is when a stock neon can beat or have an even close race with v8 muscle then it is clear that somethings wrong with this picture........... even when camaros and firebirds where coming out mustangs where always a couple years behind in power...... family cars even have 260hp now... dont get me wrong I LOVE MY MUSTANG but seriously if i lose to a noen (no offence to anyone) then i will max out ever credit card i own........ but i hope there is a day that this does not happen to me

I was just talkin to my brother about that...he has a S/C GTP..and his engine is like a 250-260. Our's are 2 cylinders more, and only 20-30 CI bigger? WTF!?!?
And they really shafter us, we get about 225-235 at the wheels...the newer (98,99) camaros pull like 320 or so.
My brother had a 95 camaro, with nothing but exhaust, roller rockers, and a CAI and he dynoed 390 at the wheels. That all was less than 800 bucks...our cars you ahve to blow them to get that kinda hp..or shoot it with nos.
I'm sorry, but ford needs to revise the '06 mustang and make it like 350 hp at the wheels lol

Ford needs to put a bigger motor in the mustangs... a 281 cubic inch is such a small, small block... I think chevy doesnt even make a small block smaller that 302 anymore. And all there sports car start off at like a 350... Mustangs need more engine options like a 281 (4.6) a 351 (5.8) and a 429 (7.0) then the mustang would keep par with the power output of a camaro and corvette. And make sure there all Over head cam engines.
