I have the Eibach Pro-Line kit on my '01 GT, it lowered about 1 1/2" all the way around. The '00 GT has Steeda and it's probably a 1" drop all the way around. If you go much lower than 1 1/2", you will need CC plates. As far as cost, the springs are in the $200-225 range and I did them myself.

Did you need to get an alignment after you installed your springs or did you just put them on and go?

I put Steeda sport springs in my '98 GT vert. I think it lowered it close to 1 1/2 inches, perhaps a little less. Handling is great and the rear to front rake angle is also nice. You can go to the member's galleries and do a search for Deannostang to see a few pictures of what it looks like with the Steeda springs if you like. I like them and my car didn't need caster/chamber plates to get a decent alignment. Don't forget new urethane isolators for your springs. The stock rubber ones can get shot very quickly. Maximum Motor Sports (www.maximummotorsports.com) sells some good islolators at a fair price.

One thing you might want to consider while changing your springs is doing all new struts and shocks at the same time. Since the suspension is already apart it isn't much more work to make that switch also. I used the Tokico blue sport struts and shocks with the KYB quads. Lots of options out there on the market.

Good luck with you ride!

I'd love to change my shocks and struts when I do springs but I don't have any money trees...
