Getting straight pipes tomorrow!

RE: Getting straight pipes tomorrow!
Ok I'm listening. May put off the straights. Its not that I'm cheap, I am willing to spend some $$ if I feel its worth it. What I don't get is how so many people rave aboutcertain cat backs, when it seems to me that they are not that much different than a muffler delete for $500. Correct me if I'm wrong.

RE: Getting straight pipes tomorrow!
you would have to switch back to the stock H pipe for inspection/warranty work...that takes no time at all
as for check engine light coming on, just hook up MIL eliminators and that would solve the problem
sound comes from mufflers, thats why people make big deals about catbacks, but if you have a stock H pipe, no matter what catback you have its going to be quiet and not sound as good....if you have a stock h and no mufflers its going to be pretty quiet and its going to sound like noise instead of exhaust and it will suck

Oh, and about the O/R H, Ky does not require vehicle emmission inspections, but wouldn't the computer throw codes with the cats removed?

yeah i know that Ky dosent inspect Sh*t.... mil'swould fool the computer or a tuner would turn off the rear o2 so now need to worry about the check engine light and all can be removed to stock for any repairs.

You guys have me seriously thinking of ordering a O/R H and leaving the flows. Thanks for the info, I am guessing the H pipe switch is so common, there is some tech threads?
