I have an 01 stock gt with 5 speed at around 70 i am at 2k rpm i have heard so many different people say to go with 390 or 410 i plan on ordering a 100 shot at the same time as well as a new shifter and cai. I am getting 25mpg and drive 75 miles everyday but only hwy miles. What can i go with that would allow me to get around the same mileage but when i want to lay in it, it will go. Thanks

i mean 4.10's are fun as hell but from wat your saying with driving highway i would go with 3.73. Your rpms are gonna be up there at highway speeds in 5th with 4.10's but the 3.73 wont be as high and they're stillsupposed to pull. My friend has them in his 05 thats getting 415 to the wheels so hed probably pull with frigin 3.27's anyway but he said his 3.73's pull nice. And just fyi everyone is gonna tell u to use the search cause theres been a million posts of these gear choices but i posted my own a while ago also so dont feel bad lol....

I have an 04 gt and just put 3.73 gears in they are great with a 5spd. since you drive on the highway I would look at 3.73 gears also look at 3.55 gears thats what came in the mach1s and they pull pretty good. the issue is you do alot of highway driving. a lot of guys are going to say 4.10s and 3.73s because they are great for puling and launching into the higher rpms. but for highway I would really think hard about it. and since you are thinking about 100 shot 3.55 would give good highway mileage and pull hard when you hit the nos.

I have 4.10's and now have to do alot of highway driving. Driving 83 from harrisburg to baltimore atleast once a week about 80 miles each way. There is definanrly a difference in gas milage but if u keep around the speed limit its not bad.

3.73's trust me u wont regret it i think 4.10's are to much wit a 100 shot

3.73's are the best all around gears to get but if your gonna do all that freeway driving I would seriously consider 3.55's. It's not that bad at all especially with the higher gas prices plus you got spray what are you worrying about

3.73's a buddy has them and the rpms aren't bad on the highway say 65-75 mph. the 3.55s are a waste it's barely an increase from stock.

I have 3.55 on my 5 speed and its a 2004 and gets 19 mpg (hybrid with *****). They seem really good for both applications, but she just is in need for a s/c!!!
