BBK shorty headers

BBK shorty headers
I have a set of bbk shorty headers that are comming in with my new engine, and I am curious as to whetehr or not i will need a different length midpipe for these headers or are they the same length as my stock headers? Thanks!

I know mostly everyone here will say to put on longtubes if you're gonna do headers, but I have heard some people say that equal lengths will have almost the same gains. Any input would be appreciated

i am a equal length owner my self......... but yes most results show long tubs are better but i would not trade in my bbk headers, upr xpipe and slp loudmouth in for anything........IMO

i think power will be very close. It's not really that much bottlenecking if you think about it...just a little less pipe to travel.
but i dunno!
so lemme get this straight: shorties bolt up to stock mid pipe? So, do mid-length and long tubes make your endpipes stick out more?
if not, how is the extra length compensated in the X/H pipe?

Long tubes have far better scavenging abilities than shorties and mid lengths. The difference is noticable by the eye, the tube length and design of the collector is responsible for the scavenging and HP.
You will still see gains. You will see 10+ hp with shorties or mid lengths.
