Default T45 rebuild and clutch change questions

I have a 97 GT that is getting ready to have its first clutch put in it. I have had quite a bit of experience with the Fox body cars but this will be my first SN95 experience. I know that on the Fox body cars it'sa good ideato replace the clutch fork, pivot ball, and front bearing retainer when doing a clutch change, is this car the same?
While I am in there I am going to rebuild the T45. There's nothing really wrong with it except it doesn't want to go into 3rd very well sometimes. Again I have a bunch of T5s under my belt but I have never done a T45. Are they that bad and is there any advice anyone can give before I get started? Thanks.
