Before doing any modding to your Stang, I have to recammend tinting your windows. I have a 15% tint all the way around on my '02 Satain Silver GT! That's about as dark as you can go w/out being constantly harassed.

I am not sure what your budget is w/you being "a little sort on cash," so I am going to try and give ya a heads up on what I think would be a good attack plan based on say $700 a month that can go to your car okay. This is not exactly how I did, but if you'd like to know, just PM me. So...

First: You can get a Magnaflow cat-back for $330 from Full Line Exhaust http://www.fulllineexhaust.com/shipped to your door. They don't carry Bassani, but I ordered my X-pipe w/high flow cats from a place in MI for $369 to my door as well. I am not going to give all my shopping secrets away, but believe me the deals are out there. Right here you have just freed up say around 20rwhp for $700. Depending on how mechanically inclined you are...that's all a piece of cake to do. Magnas can be put on in your driveway if you want to take the time, but if you want to just have have it done by someone...I don't think it'll run too much. Total this month: $700 approx.

Second: Order a M.A.M. of your choice. I went w/C&L. I have the 85mm w/true flow pipe, & K&N air filter (paid $360). I also bought the C&L upper intake plenum, & a FRPP 70mm throttle body. Read this http://www.cnlperformance.com/plenum.html. It should clear up some of the doubts you have about a t/b. Though the BBK put out a few more ponies on this test...I have heard that BBK's t/b's have a tendancy to have a slight whistle at times. I do not know for certain, as I have no experience w/them. (Plenum $185, T/B 189) Total this month $740 approx.

Third: Get a 4.10 gear at a minimum (FRPP $189), and a short though shifter (Pro 5.0 $189). Also, get a set of either March Performance Pulleys, or Steeda underdrive pulleys. Stay away from piggybacks though. I bought the March series #1190 (new for this year made specifically for the '02...$159) Total this month $560 approx (added a few bucks for shipping.

Fourth: Headers. I bought the Bassani midlength headers, because I already had the X-pipe, and I did not want to do any chopping for long tubes. However, long tubes will probably still give the most hp, I've not yet installed the headers on my car to stand by Bassani, or complain about them. Either way...ML's are better than shorties, but I still have to do a little cutting for the ML's to fit the X-pipe, but not so much. I paid $589 for my headers. I saved them for last, because there are plenty of other beneficial, & more cost effective ways to get power out of your Mustang than making headers an extremely early purchase. I ordered my when I was about at the 1/2 way mark of the purchasing process.

I also have a few other mods, but let's keep them a secret shall we. I hope this helps you out, & sorry for the length.
