750 for labor to remove and install a new engine is about right.......i was quoted 300 to remove and 300 for install for a ford 351 long blockin a F150 for my boss. That was the same price from 5 diffrent shops in 3 different towns.

dss is what i was using to price guage in that post. but they are higher than some. and cheaper than others. the cheapest by far is to take it to an indpendent engine builder and have them build it to exact specs for u. that way nothing is lost in something u didnt want to pay for etc etc. livernois will also do long and short block building, but by request only i believe. and thats sorta what im talking about except they will have to ship it to you and that aint exactly cheap.

id rather spend the extra cash if you plan on owning your stang for a while and have a reliable short block that can handle most everything you will throw at it. its a small price to paybut it will be stout.

thats sort of what i will be doing in the long run. i am about to do a pi head swap. and when i can afford it im gonna go to a dss pro mod short block. maybe a mod if i cant afford the pro mod.
