I was doing some reading which is very scary but SHM said that mustangs came with a Romeo block or a windsor block but the windsor block only came in the late 99 early 00 due to high demand, but I read somewhere else that said that the romeo was an aluminum block and the windsor was a cast iron block. I was wondering which one is right.

The windsor motors were used in 99-mid01 because of a fire at the romeo plant. Some 02s even got the windsor leftovers. They are both aluminum and they are both cast iron. Both plants make both. Romeo aluminum blocks were used in the 99-01 cobras and romeo iron was used in the 96-98 and 01.5-04 GTs. Windsor aluminum is used in trucks windsor iron also used in trucks except for 99-01.5 gts. Teksid in Italy made the 96-98 aluminum blocks used in the cobras. Windsor aluminum and iron were used iin the 93-95 lincolns
