Default HP numbers?

I met a kid that said that he had an 01 Gt with I believe a T-76 turbo (single) running 25 PSI. It is on a stroked MMR block. He claims that he dynoed 720 whp. That sounds really high to me. What are you opinions?

That's certainly possible. Remember, with a turbo, it's not seeing any parasitic loss. Even at 15psi, he'd be making more power than you. Just the nature of the beast.

I would expexct it to make more hp than my s-trim. I would have thought that 720 to the wheels would be a little bit of a stretch. I could easly see 650. Maybe I am way off. Thanks for the input.

Depending on heads, cams and fuel system that is very possible. I'm sure a guy that is pushing 25psi has a bully built motor and that 720rwhp is on a very safe tune. I'f built and has the fuel to support it at 25psi he should be over 800rwhp.

+1.. I'm thinking he should definitely be over 700+ with a T-56 pushing 25psi.. Especially on a forged and stroked MMR block.. Now that's provided he's got the fuel set up to support it, but it's definitely not out of the realm of possibility. A friend of mine in VA Beach has a 99 Cobra with a GT-60 turbo pushing 20 psi on a forged shortblock, and he's pushing close to 700 at the wheels, I'm unaware of what he's done to the cams, but the H/I is ported and that's also on amiddle-of-the-road tune. The only question is, can he putall that power on the ground..

yeah, i was just about to same that too. what good is 700+RWHP if you can't use it. hell, even when you get to the 500 mark, it starts to get really crazy to handle.
