my water pump went out really early, and my voltage regulator isnt working properly. The car feels a bit sluggish, and sucks up wayyyy too much gas.&nbsp\\; Looks great though

FIX YOUR CAR! the voltage regulator is in the alternator, how do you know it isn't working? have you actually used a volt meter to test the voltage output at both idle and 2.5k rpm? your poor car, figure out whats wrong with it so i dont have to cry for it... theres too many things to list that may cause sluggishness but check the obvious things...

sorry back to topic, they are awesome reliable vehicles, i just picked up an 02gt with 53k on it and it is like new. wondering about TSBs and recalls? look at the top tool bar on the second line, that should answer some questions. sometimes you will see an axle seal here or there, just look for the obvious things, its all you can do really...

the 02 is a solid car. I went from a 93 firebird formula to my 02 GT, got it at like 36k... sounds like you are doing Exactly what I did. They are solid cars, my synchros went bad in my transmission but I am also making a lot more power than stock and race my car a lot. If you aren't going to make a good amount of power or race it every weekend then it should be fine. If you want to go fast Id be looking into a 4v motor tho, either a cobra or mach 1 if you can afford the car and insurance, they are a lot faster and accept mods much better than the GT's 2v motor
