Default TB questions

I pretty much know nothing so any input would be greatly appreciated. This time I'm wondering about what to get with a bigger throttle body. Do I need a spacer? And what about a plenum? Please excuse my ignorance, i'm trying, and thanks a million for the help.

You can get a spacer (tb or plenum) and intall it also if you want. You do not need one but you can get one. If you get a 75mm tb, just get the plenum one as when I called rpm and asked about the tb spacers the tech said that I would need to take a little materal off of it so the butterfly would clear and be able to open up complety. So because of this I would assume that the tb spacer is smaller that 75mm. If anyone has one of these tb spacers and a 75mm tb and can tell me for sure that would be great. I have the plenum spacer and think it was worth the money, but that is up to you if you want to get one.

yeah get a throttle body spacer. helps give a little gas milage and power. PLus it makes a loud intake hiss like a supercharger if your air silencer is off

The dyno results for the 75mm with the C&L plenum showed a couple more hp verses the 70mm with C&L plenum. If you had purchased another plenum with the 75mm tb you would not have gained anything over haveing the 70mm one. So no if you would have gone with the Accufab plenum you woud not have gotten more hp, you bought the best set-up per dyno testing!

Forgive my igorance, but what test(s) are you referring to? I'm just looking at this one test and the way I see it, C&L did better with a 70mm TB...

I believe if you go to C&L web site they have the results there with the 70mm vs. the 75mm on their plenum, and the 75mm+their plenum had (I think, can not remember) 2-4 more hp over the 70mm one.
