Default FRUSTRATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well... my disconnecting my PCV system and letting it breathe solved the problem of the oil getting into the intake im pretty sure....but now the dirver side valve cover is pouring out white smoke like a ****load of it...and its not coolant..well bc the amount of smoke would prob run the coolant dry in a minute...i still have a tick...thats not in the heads or timing area...its weird ...

but as far as stalling at idle...still does that (blaming the tune)
has a massive amount of white smoke comming out of the pcv spots on the valve covers
and a really weird ticking noise..

Well form the sounds of it it is time to upgrade the only thing left. Sounds kinda like masive blow by. Like something got into the cyl during the head swap and tore up the walls. Hate to say it but if you do the compression check like i said in the pm and it fails your shortblock is done.

Yeah oil in the compression chamber cause increased pressure and heat which in turn causes detontaion. Even at idle if enough is getting in it can **** **** up. Thats how I destroyed my stock motor. Dry rotted valve seals and a bad pcv. Let so much oil in that i burned throug 5 qts in a week. Broken ring land, scratched wall, and spun all rod and main bearings.

But I got a nice forged engine out of the deal

could this have anything to do with me smelling oil when I get on my car or the main time is when i engine brake from about 4000-3500 rpms, my pcv has a little of oil residue on it but I have always thought it was a valve cover gasket but im not using hardly any oil and i usually change b/n 4,000-5,000 miles never having to add any oil. Sorry about stealing your thread.

You shouldn't be smelling oil thats getting sucked back inside your intake, probably something is leaking on the headers.
