Default cobra brake upgrade question!

my entire brake system on my 99 gt is totally messed up. my stupid friend topped up my brake fluid res with power steering fluid. so needless to say i need to replace some stuff. so i figured no better time and excuse to do some upgrading. what all do i need to put a set of front and rear cobra calipers on my 99 gt? will they bolt up to my stock caliper brackets? and since i am getting new steel braided brake lines do i need to get a specific set of lines?

I upgraded my front brakes withthe firstkit. Since it works with the stock rear GT brakes I didn't bother to upgrade the rear brakes.

Unless your goiing for the look of bigger rotors, whats the point. Just flush your system.

I do have to say, I could tell an immediate difference in both braking power and feel/surefootedness with the cobra brakes. Even light DD stopping just feels more confident and stops quicker.

Cobra upgrade FTW. Its only 400~ or less and its a great upgrade.

I definitely recommend cobra calipers you will need larger rototors along with bracket for the fronts - they stop 10X better than stock. I opted to go with slotted and x-drilled rotors as well for both the front and rear but kept the GT calipers on the rear.

I got my kit from E-bay with was ford factory Cobra calipers (fully load) with factory Cobra pads, along with bracket for $299 but forget thevendor. I just did a search withinE-bay for Cobra calipers. I did not realize they came with pads or bracket as I know the brackets from Ford are $60 a piece but returned them.

when you put powersteernig fluid in ure brake fluid it swells all the rubber seal and lines and eventually destroys them. so i have to replace all rubber brake lines, proportioning valve, abs unit and calipers. basically anything with any sort of rubber seal in it.
