Back in '03 i purchased a black cobra svt, simply because at the time this was the most powerful muscle car available w/o getting into the 100k saleens & vipers etc....or is it?.....i retired in Feb. & did myself the favor of purchasing a 2001 intimidator ss i came across....i am and always will be a ford man, but i respect chevy & dodge as well, i paid 54k for the car, it doesnt even have 1k miles on it, i always loved watching the black 3 and just couldnt pass this one by, anyway this car is very impressive, its one of 8 stage II which comes w/ an LS6 and over 431 hp from the dealer...both cars are stock down to the filter, the ss will always be that way, so what do i need to do to my svt to make it faster?...how much modifying is it gonna take?

You obviously love chevy more than fords, you just don't want to seriously **** off the forum members, which I admit, is more respect than most chevy owners show (notice how I said MOST). We all know that the LSx engine is a great powerplant, but it isn't god. You don't need to do very little to match your $54,000 - camaro
So you bought a used camaro, for $54,000. your termi, at most, cost you ~40,000. Do you want to put $14,000 into the termi and see where you stand compared to your godly ls6
You do realize, price vs performance, I don't care what you bow tie boys say, the camaro will never even come close to what the termi is worth, and you just can't prove that wrong.
You do realize that there is a reason that Ford, who isn't in the market of performance vehicles really (they only have the mustang, nothing else) called the 2003 cobra a Terminator from the factory right? or is that not blatently obvious
If you were to spend the exact same ammount on a camaro and a 2003 cobra, with the same ammount of mileage, no matter what model, as of today, (meaning if you pay less for one you can pump the rest of the cash in to mods), the cobra would absolutely maul the SS, Z28, or whatever you get.
Lets go through this
Your camaro - lets say $50,000
2003 Cobra in mint condition - $35,000
Cobra Camaro SS
$6,000-Whipple 3.4 liter blower Stock
Total, including labor and tuning
$45,000 $50,000
Whats the result? I'll let you figure that one out
