Default Speedometer calibration question..

So I'm getting 3.73's for my GT next week. What's the easiest fix for the speedo calibration? Is the Speed Cal an easy install, it seems pretty hairy to me, but then again I'm just a 'shade tree' casual mechanic. Does a hand held tuner fix the speedo? Any other good options? Sorry if this is a dead horse, search not working. Please help !!!!

Easiest fix is a handheld tuner, cheapest fix is the SpeedCal, those are the options...

I'm probably going to get a hand held tuner or a 4 bank chip. Both seem like much better options than a speed cal and can do more for the car.

if you are going to pay a little more money then i would just get a handheld because you can also tune some other things on it which would be much more beneficial for you in the long run. if you do decide to get a tuner go with brenspeed.

+1....The tuner will be your best bet in the long run.

Default RE: Speedometer calibration question..

Thanks for the info guys. I will be at Modular Depot in Newport, Ky next Tuesday getting my FRPP 3.73's installed, please stop by and say hi if you're in the area. I will ask Kenand Chris about calibrating my speedo for me. If not, I guess I'll be getting a tuner. [sm=lildevil.gif]
