Imnot sure what size gear to install 3:73? 3:90? 4:10 which will give me better results at the track and what RPM will i be runing Im a 2k at 60mph now,I wasgoing toward the 4:10's but idont want torun out of gearat the end of the track,its a 97 gt (5 speed). thanks

just go with 4.10s- This question is asked several times on here and there is always the same answers, which is why 945 said that. If 4.10 is as steep as your willing to go, then that is what i would do.

+1 on the 4.10's. What are your plans for HP. Going to stay na, going to add a xxx shot of spray or boost.

4.10's!!!! I just got them and they are awesome. Don't think twice about it just do it!

4.10s are great and everyone will suggest them, when i get gears in like 90 years, i will get 3.73s. My car is my DD and I use the highway a bit so I want better mileage with performance. the 4.10s will give you the good quarter times though. Its your call.

I'm getting 3.73's because I do a lot of 60 mph highway driving commuting to work. If I did more city or track driving I would get 4.10's. I'll let you know next week how I like them. BTW Doug, you said you were currently running 2,000 rpm at 60 mph. Is that 4th or 5th gear? I don't know what gear ratios are in the '97 model but my 04 turns about 1600 rpm in 5th at 60 mph.

I actually do alot of hwy driving with 4.10s and still pull 23mpg so dont let that affect your decision too much
