yep def a throw out bearing, mine does it now, and all of my other 5 speed cars did it too, don't worry about it, your clutch will go out b4 the throw out bearing goes in most cases, good luck tho
That's what I hoped on my '96...when it finally went it puked ball bearing everywhere. I've never dropped a transmission and had ball bearings hit me in the chest before!! My throw-out bearing went at ~95,000 but the clutch and tranny were still in great shape. Ford seems to have put in bad throw-out bearings on a lot of cars...

yeah i agree, the tranny prob could just be the through out bearing.

you can get a tuner to disable it all the time unless you press it instead of pressing it to turn it off
i had asked a question about this in another forum but never got an answer.

the tuner will allow you to turn it on but will have it in the default off position when you start the car?

traction control is an option so if you didn't get it you probably just have a plug. i think my throw out bearing is going bad but mine squeeks when the clutch is out. neutral or in gear.
depending on the tuner you get, it will remember what the last position the TC was in when you turned the engine off. If you had it off, it stays off until you turn it on. On, it will stay on until you turn it off, no matter how many times you start your car.

i had my throwout bearing replaced and my car a few months ago and it still does it, but it could be something else on mine, more like a knocking not a ticking.
