Ok im getting a new car this week and im looking at this 2001 mustang GT, 66,000 miles. With a Saleen supercharger on it. They are asking $11,500. Isnt that kind of low. I REALLY like the car, but that low of an asking price concerns me a little. Or maybe is just one of those deals. What do yall think?

Well...hmmm the car appears by the pictures to be in great shape judging by the pictures the guy has posted. I see that the car is stamped with G.T logos but has taken the look of a saleen. I have not researched the 4.6l 2v saleen supercharger a great deal at all. So I am not sure of the work that goes into making it work on the 2v...like the special intake manifold and stuff....maybe some more people will comment on this and give you there opinions. I like the car and if it's in good mechanical shape and the car has not been damaged or wrecked I would say go for it IF AND ONLY If you will be happy with it man!

might be a typo....i read the guys description on the car, and there is says $18k or best offer....sooooo i dunno....might want to contact the seller and find out whats up.

if it is $11k....test drive the sheeeeit outta her....and if she holds up....sssget er'!!

just look for/check out anything that you would when test driving/buying any other car....

one thing you will want to MAKE SURE to do when you test drive.....get on the gas and get the rpms up there (doesnt have to be redline), but when it comes time to shift....shift the hell out of her, like you were racing someone. while shifting into the next gear, listen closely and feel for any grinds when shifting into gear. if any of the gears grind when shifting....MAKE SURE to point that out!! these stangs are notorious for shotty syncros!! i had to get all of my sycnros replaced (under extended warranty) around the 40k mark, due to 3rd gear grinding no matter what.

if it DOES grind on any gear.....its a syncro issue....and isnt exactly a cheap fix. dont let him tell you otherwise, as he is just trying to get it sold.
