I don't know if this is a problem with my car or whether it is really normal like some people say but everytime I put my key into my 04 GT and have it in "on" position, all the indicator lights turn on briefly and then turn off EXCEPT for the "SERVICE ENGINE SOON" light. It only turns off once I start the engine.

Can anyone please tell me whether or not this is normal?

That's normal... You're ok as long as it's not on while the car is running.

it does this everytime you start the car as a bulb check.

Yeah I know all the indicator lights start up briefly and then turn off. I'm saying the "SERVICE ENGINE SOON" light STAYS ON until I start the engine... so this is the same for everyone elses cars?
