subframe connectors install cost

subframe connectors install cost
I bought the set of J&M full length subframe connectors from american muscle and the local performance shop in Austin here that works on mustangs, motion dynamics, quoted me $250 for the install. They said since they were powdercoated already, they would have to grind the paint off in the places they needed to weld then repaint the welds when they were finished. Is that a reasonable price? If I have a dremel would it be simple enough for me to stick the connectors under my car, mark where they line up on the frames and grind off the paint around the edges myself? I'm thinking that way they might not charge so much. I was expecting like $150 tops.
Thanks for the help..

Grinding and painting should not take that much time. An angle grinder and a spray can? Come on... That is way too much forthat. Wherever you end up taking it, just make sure they dont lift by the frame otherwise your car will remain in a flexed position.

Well he said if I dont go with the MM ones, they aren't going to fit exactly and so I have to pay them more so they can do whatever work needs to be done on the ones I bought. Not sure if that's bs or what but he seemed to be speaking from experience.
Instead I'm just going to return the ones I bought and buy the MM ones from the shop. They said they'd do everything for 300, the cost of thesubframe connectors included. They are like $140 online so that makes it $160 ish in labor. I'll settle for that since it is a mustang specific shop and they will know what they're doing. I did ask them what kind of lift they had already. They said it's a drive on lift so that is good. Thanks for the opinions. I think I have it figured out now.
