ok guys, i asked this before about which exhaust is the loudest, but i should have been more clear, because i just flushed 480 dollars down the ****ing drain because gay *** american muscle wont take it back. anyways, i have a 98 gt mustang, automatic, AUTOMATIC BECAUSE THEY DONT EVER SOUND AS GOOD AS A STICK, it is stock except for a cold air intake and a bbk off road h pipe. i had 40 series flowmasters on it, the cat back, it sounded good i really liked the way it sounded, it just wasnt loud enough when i was driving and taking off, etc. so i decided to buy the LM1's...yeah they sound like poop, they are loud but there is a big difference from sounding loud and good, in my opinion, i know some of you guys like them but they are not for me. anyways, now that you all know what im looking for, ie deep aggressive and loud, not clappy and tiny and ****, should i put the 40 series back on or buy another ****ing exhaust cat back system like the super 44's from flowmasters, are they louder? has anyone tried them compared to the 40's? if these wont sound much different what should i go with? i wish i could just sell the ****er and buy a 04 cobra with a kb on it and full basani exhaust, but i dont **** money. anymore input would be good.

 

Settle down young padawan. I would either go with Magnapacks or Borla Stingers. Both sound good IMO. Super 44's arent much louder if any just a little different tone. Sounds like you want the big block sound you have to except the fact that its a 281 and its not gonna be crazy loud. Get some cams that mite help too. goooooood luck and breathe.

 

The super 44's are actually a little quieter than the 40's.
What you need to do is buy a catted mid pipe..... That will get rid of the poop sound of those lm1's.

 

wow calm down, which 40 series did you go with? cause the loudest and best sounding are the original 40s. Not the super 40s, not the 40s delta force. the 44s and all others are quiter. The loudest are the original 40s. If is still isn't loud enough then you will just have to go with straight pipe, but the sound quality may not be what you want.

Why waste money on buying another catback? The SLP system is modular. If you like the deeper chambered muffler sound then order some SLP proflows. I am suprised nobody told you that LM1 sounds like ***. I have LM2 with longtubes and O/R H and it sounds great. Deep and loud.

cant go wrong with a magnapack catback with an offroad x.. thats what my cobra has.. love the sound.

 

how can you think the loud mouth ones sound like poop. I like mine without the mid pipe, but i agree with 1soblckgt get a midpipe and you will like the sound. I loved mine before but love them even more now.

Really, once you go H pipe, i really don't think theres anything you can do to get louder man. You can sacrifice good sound and get the Loud mouths or MagnaPacks, or you can go back to the original 40s.
