Since O/R mid pipes are boat-loads cheaper the catted versions, you can afford to buy new or modify that one with the long tubes. I'll probably put FRPP shorties on mine because my mid-pipe is catted SS and I'm not tossing a $400+ mid-pipe for LTs. My wife would skin me alive at the mere mention of such a thing. However, since I can get the ceramic ford shorties for $220, she'll buy off on that. Since I have a catted X, I'm not going to gain much no matter what I do. At least I'm still legal.

I installed MAC LT's, a Prochamber Midpipe and Flowmaster 40's and I definitely felt a difference in HP and torque. I haven't had a chance to dyno the car so I can't tell you what kind of gain I got. As far as ground clearance any scraping over speed bumps hits my SFC's before it hit's anything else.
I have been on the fence as far as plenum and throttle body since I have heard conflicting reports as to howmuch gainyou really get for the money. Anyone with experience care to comment and change my mind? LOL!

as far as throttle body goes i was going to get one. but i heard you will see no diffrence in a near stock car. only makes a diffrence when your looking at 400+ horses and your car needs all the air it can get. im not sure if its true but it was from a company selling them so why would they talk people out of them. right... so im holding off on that for now since i think my car is getting all the air in it can use other then adding a supercharger or something.
