Default speedometer sticking after gauge install

Hey guys, I am having a rather unfortunate issue after installing my white face gauges. The instructions said to avoid moving the speedometer and tach needles when installing the gauge overlay, I really did not move them much at all but for some reason the speedometer would work perfect one day and not the next. Basically I would accel and it would have to make jumps to catch up and then hang up at 50 or wherever even when I would decel.

I had them out the other day and the overlay is not making the needle hang up on it or anything, I am really kind of confused about the whole thing. It would really suck to have to buy new gauges b/c I wanted to make my gauges white[>:].

Any ideas on how to fix this?

I had the same problem. The needles are too close to the guage face now and occasionally drag across it. Take a flat screw driver and gently pry the needle up about 1/8 of an inch. (pry from the middle of the needle where it attaches to the cluster)

Yep. That's how I fixed mine.
