Default 3.73 Gear Installation fo

Hey all,

I'm about to get my 3.73 gears installed in my 2000 GT and I was wondering if anyone out there can give me a good price estimate on installation costs. I'm looking for a ballpark figure.

I've heard anywhere from $250 to $600+ (dealership). I just don't want to get screwed over. Also, about how much labor is involved?

Thanks!!

I just got a quote for 6 hours of labor, plus I'd have to buy the installation kit for the gears...approximately $520.

What type of gears do you? The guy I called said that Richmond, the ones I have, have an annoying squeel to them. Have you heard anything about that?

I have FRPP 3.73s in my 02. I got them installed a couple of months ago. I live in San Diego where everything is expensive and I got it all done for $500. Gears were only $180 and i think the kit and oil were about $50. I got charged for about 3.5 hours labor and it probably didnt even take that long. Hope this helps you some! I dont know about the richmonds but my FRPPs dont whine at all.

500 is about right when the parts are included.

I have 4.10's here, & Iwas quoted$250 for labor. 4.10's are the way to go. I helped convince Aaron...ask him what he thinks.
