Default Thinking about getting a mod 2v....

I can get a deal on a 1996 Mustang GT with exhaust and a couple of other mods. It's a 5-speed and is black on black. I was wondering if there's any pros or cons between a mod motor or a 5.0 like I have now.

I wish I had to time to list them all, but I really dont..... Modular's make more power from the factory, so that's a plus. I can get back with you on this tommorrow if nobody else post's.

CONS non PI heads or intake. 1996-1998 were one of the weakess mustangs made.

Pros its a mustang THATS IT.

Do you know if I can swap a set of 4v cobra heads and intake to a 2v motor?

Modular Pros
-More power stock
- they take well to supercharging
-IMO they look better than 5.0's
- better for road race

Modular Cons
- NPI heads suck (1995-1998)
- the rods are made of butter
- 2v's are not good for bolt-on's (260 rwhp full bolton's for 1999-2004 around 300 rwhp for heads cams)
- less aftermarket then 5.0's
- modular heads pre 2003 tend to spit sparkplugs.
- Crappy transmission t-45 or t-3650
-They are heavier than 5.0's
- Expensive to go fast

5.0 Pros
- Heads cams and intake makes way more power (around 350 rwhp)
- A lot of aftermarket
- Lighter than mod mustangs
- Better for drag racing
- CHEAP!!!

5.0 Cons
-Slower stock
-Bad gearing (for performance)
-The interior is usually not that great
-crazy body roll/chassis flex (they can twist when launching)
-Crappy transmission t5-( I think )
