Default Nitros

alright, i need some serious help from some with actualy nitros experience in their stang. I have a 99 cobra, and i was comsidering getting nitros for my car. The people at any store will say whatever to make the sale and i dont really trust what they say cuz it mostly seem slike bull****. My idea was a zex 10lb bottle and the system that only sprays it when you floor it (approx 125 shot). what type of maintenece and proper care is necessary in order to avoid any long term affects? and what else should i know before buying a kit (besides al the stories iv heard of people blowing a rod or whater while using it)

Thanks
Danny

OMG you guys crack me up N2O is no harder on your motor than anyother power adder, if used correctly.

Get a NX kit I have heard great things about thier Stang kits (I use NOS kits mostly but that is because I have always used them). You will want a WOT switch, a window switch and a hobs switch to shut the spray off if your fuel pressure drops. Also make sure what ever kit you get, make sure it is adustable, start out with a 50-75hp shot and work your way up. You will need a flip chip or a tune to retard the timing while the car is on the spray, and depending on how much you spray you might need a step or two colder spark plugs.

They SUCK...and JD1969 said everything I would have said...Only thing I will add, is "I" would do a dry kit.

As far as ease of installation the ZEX seems pretty good. But as far as performance their kits don't really shine. A friend of mine put a Zex kit with a 75 shot and only saw 35HP gain on the dyno. Just my 2 pesos...
