Default Motor mount spacer needed for fix????

I just put bbk shorty headers on my mustang and when I lowered my engine the driver side header is sitting directly on my steering shaft, and I've tried to raise the engine up and slide the motor mounts up and tighten them down so the engine would stay up a few inches, but I think the trans is dragging the back of the engine down so the header still sits on the steering rod. I've heard that there is an engine spacer??? to solve this problem but I'm not sure, has anyone had this problem? and if so how did you fix it?

How bad is it touching? I've heard of people having to 'massage' tubes and collectors alittle to get clearances right.

How old is your car?
