Default Powerpipes and S/C'ers

I just got my car up and running. I installed a Vortech V2 kit. My question is, do power pies make the supercharger sound louder or change the pitch of the whine? I have a Steeda Power pipe installed with it. The car whistles super loud out of the air filter. Are all V2's the SQ series? Because it's pretty loud as far as whine, I almost couldn't imagine the V1 series! The whine dissapears when the rpms rise.

my v-1 should be louder than your v-2, but i don't have a powerpipe... and mine is noticeable at idle, but as the rpm's rise, you can't hear it... I couldn't imagine it being so loud you would complain... exspecally on a v-2

yeah, with it parked in my garage at idle you can hear it screeching from my back door which is 100ft away. Maybe it is less noticeable when outdoors? I haven't driven it yet. It's going straight to the tuners before I even think of getting on it! I'm a little frightened of the 10lb pulley on my stock cobra block without a proper tune.
