Default RE: tire pressure

You will have to play with your tire pressure to see what works best for your car and driving style. I've dropped my rear pressure down to 24 psi and it seemed to work for me on street tires. (Nitto 555's) factory size. Try starting at 28psi, and work your way down to see where you begin getting good off the line grip. However, don't go too low if you plan on driving to the track and back. Maybe take a portable air compressor with you or have a friend take one to the track. Another issue may be, if you have too low of a pressure, and you get real good grip off the line, it is possible to spin the tire on the wheel. This will cause your tire to become out of balance. Doesn't happen often on a stock car, but I have seen it happen. Good luck....
