Default Wind noise, how to adjust door?

I just bought a 2004 GT and I noticed there's some wind noise, then when I looked at the door I noticed that it doesn't close as tight as it should, it sticks out a little bit and I think if I could get it to close tighter it would have a good seal and eliminate the wind noise. Anyone know how hard it would be to adjust this, or if it's even possible?

Well I loosened the plate on the body and tried to move it further in, but it doesn't seem to be adjustable. I could get it to move back a little bit but once I tightened it down it moved right back, any advice?

roll down the window and then shut the door to make sure the door isnt under pressure, eitherat the hinge pillar or from the window being outa adjustment. If the window isnt adjusted right it will close into the weatherstrip and put pressure on the door...If the door shuts fine, the you will have to move the door out on the hinges, or ajust the window outward a bit by removing the door panel and moving the stops on the window at the top of the door.. to move the door on the hinges, loosen the 13 mm head bolts onTop or bottom depending on the alighnment with the front fender. If the door doesnt shut better with the window down, then you only have to adjust it at the striker plate. Since you have no adjustability there, you may have to drive the striker in with a hammer. I know it sounds crude, but there is a reason as to why the door isnt shutting tight. wrecked, twisted,or worn out. Good luck....

I have a salvaged title 98 that was hit in the door post hard. It tookabout 4 hoursof pulling to get the hinge pillar pulled out enough to get the door to shut right and lign up perfect without a wind noise or water leak......Thats what seperates the good body shops from the bad. Just because a car is hit hard doesnt mean that it cant be fixed right.... I have seen many cars cobbled up and fixed good enough to sell...It sucks for those who dont know how to tell. I fix cars and put them back to as good as factory specs..Im located in Paducah,Ky if anyone ever needs anything....
