how fast were the 96-98 cobras, also how much did they weigh. just curious thanks

I would say they are similar. Got my info from stangbangers.com under 98 cobra articles. I'd like to see a stock 99 Gt take on a stock 98 Cobra with equal drivers. Probably be a good race.

1/4 mile its almost the same as 99-04 gt but the freeway is a different story. With gears it can get to about 160 and 0-60 gets a fair boost as well.

my friend with a 97 cobra just rana 9.2 in the 1/8th with jsut exhuast and bad tires if that tells you anything

It got a 13.6 @ 106 mph with just taking the intake silencer off recorded from Fast Fords and Muscular Mustangs. That is impressive especially with everything else stock including stock 3.27 gears
