I know I'm pretty amped that they are going to do this for me. Any ideas on how long this usually takes? What the crap exactly is a syncro? Going by google images, it seems to be some sort of ring mechanism or what not. I'm hoping to have the car back by Friday. At least thats when my intake arrives and it would be nice to be able to put it in that day.

it all depends on the dealer and how much priority they put on it, to keep from being disappointed just think sometime next week, dealers have a way of being like that.
