Default Teksid Questions

I have a 2000 GT and looking into putting a teksid block(out of a mark viii)with a MMR 950 stroker kit in it. Is there anything I will need to do to make this work in my GT? I heard that you have to drill the block on the drivers side to get to a coolant passage!? Are there any knock sensors that have to be plugged or used? Will the timing cover and all the accessories from my motor bolt up to the teksid block? Also MMR offers oversized kits, if I am buying a block out of an old lincoln should I be buying the oversized stroker kittoo compensate for machine work? Thanks any advice is much appreciated!

Block needs to be clearanced to fit the stroker crank. Plugging the knoc sensors is easy. Just get a couple 1/2npt plugs. You don't have to drill the block but while it's out you can install the coolant mod that has been designed for newer machs/cobras. It keep coolant circulating the entire block instead of having a dead end. You will have to get the block either machined to accomodate the stroker kit or resleeved if the pistons are much larger i.e. .060"larger

JESUS .06 thats a lot to take out, i wouldn't try that much any ways unless its a block designed for that.

.040 is max I would go on stock sleeves. Most storker and big bore kits are atleast .060 and require re-sleeving. That's what I was saying. Def don't hone your cylinders out .060 on stock sleeves. There's not really much more than that to bore...lol

well I'm going to be buying the stroker kit before I buy the block, so I guess I'm going to getthestroker kit+.030 over just to be safe...as far as I know the pistons are standard bore size it's just a stroker crank
