some of them come with a new aluminum block...that kit's 3000 and the simple 5.1 kit is 2000.

why does it matter how much block wall you have?

Well the thinner the wall is the easier it is to blow out....I hope that you are planning on keeping your car NA cause if you put any kind of PSI throw that block you are gonna blow the **** out of it.

i went to VT Engines and i found a few good things. I'm still not completely comfortable with what to actually get. I saw the Stage 1 heads, im sure they would be fine, but if anyone has any objections to that please let me know. The stroker kits i saw you can actually get with different compression ratios and i figured maybe something like 9.1:1 would be good for a supercharged motor. But if anyone actually knows what i should get, please help me out. Money really isnt an issue, i mean i know people keep saying go with just a shortblock or longblock. im really not trying to go out the easy way, i enjoy working and installing everything myself, because thats the type of guy i am, i wanna be able to say yeah i installed all this and i installed the supercharger. But like i said if anyone can help me out on what to actually purchase lemme know. Thanks again everyone

I would try and check out DSS, they have some good blocks and stroker kits, i would try and build the motor naturally aspirated and get as much hp that you can, and then go with the KN blower. http://www.dssracing.com/homepage.html

They all pale in comparison to VT. We have a DSS shortblock in the Mrs' Stang and after you really start pricing things and comparing, VT is much better quality at a comparable price. As afr as compression for a FI motor, stay around 8.0:1-8.5:1 18cc pistons. Get a good set of flowing heads and good blower cams.
