Default 2000 Mustang GT needs new Clutch, suggestions?

Hi I have an all stock 2000 GT with 64K miles (T45 trans) the stock clutch is in need of replacement and after doing some research it seems the King Kobra and Centerforce clutchesarepopular? Would a Centerforce Dual Friction be overkill? I just want a clutch that will last , Any ideas appreciated!

It could be overkill if you never intend to race or supercharge. Below is a description of its uses.

I would just go back with a stock clutch if you dont plan on modding or racing your car, or a Spec Stage I. If you do plan on some sort of power adders in future then go with a Spec Stage II

If your going to do it then, go ahead and get the Dual Friction, Might as well get something a little over kill on the fron end that will last. Once that's installed you shouldnt have to worry about it again, and if you ever decide to dump the clutch, or race it, or add some bolt-on's, ect..ect.. You know the clutch will still be able to handle the power, and abuse.

Just my .02

Blah w/e dudes. I say do the clutch once and do it right. Stage II+ or a Stage III. I could drop the Stage III clutch on a dry burnout and it wouldn't even fade for a second. Traffic and stop-go driving was cake.

IMO go with the king cobra. one of my friends has a t45 with a mmr 900 block and novi 2000 blower putting down 450rwhp+ and the clutch dosent slip. no idea on how long it will last tho lol. but if you dont plan on anything too extreme in the future save your money.

I forgot to mention I do plan on adding power in the near future and decided to go with the DF Centerforce, I was able to pickup the DFkit w/ throwout bearingin town and im having it installed Saturday, I cant wait because my current clutch chattersreal bad on take off, I have to give it gas and basicallyride the clutch to prevent chatter.

Thanks for the replies!

Most aftermarkets are a little grabby as well, That's just part of it! I have the Stage2 and it's a bitch in slow traffic, rev up to 1200-1600 and ease it out or it'll buck you silly if you let it out w/ out reving it up.

lol,

But it'll ****/get when you rev it up and need it to go!
