Default Forged Internals + Supercharger

One day in the future I am going to FI my G.T I would want nothing more than to do it tommorow, but I cant right now. As I am waiting I am trying to research as much as I can. My questions is simple this. If I ordered a SC Kit with a larger SC. And I replaced all the internals with forged parts, pistons, rods etc. Is that all I would have to do to simply obtain more boost say 17psi? or even 25psi.

yes and no, you've got to look at fuel and a couple other things as well

Yes with the SC I understand that...I am talking about a complete SC Kit...then if the motor had all forged internals would that be all I would have to do to obtain higher boost levels....without messing with the heads, and intake...thank you

On 2v PI cars, assuming nothing besides a forged rotating assembly and a bigger blower, you could probably see 14-15psi on a P1SC with a 2.8 pulley. Do a D1 and you'll see high teens low twenties. The rest of your car is going to choke your motor, your IAT's are going to be sky high with that amount of boost, and all your rod bearings will be under immense pressure all the time, but at least you can say 'Im still pushing 20 psi though'.

you would most likely have to upgrade your complete fuel system

He said don't worry about the fuel system. He just wants big boost numbers.

At that boost level with just forged internals your car will be restricted so much by bolt ons. Your exhaust and intake as well as head and cams will all be CHOKING the car.

No. You will blow the engine trying to push that much boost with a stock head/cam car. There is alot more to running more boost then just putting on a smaller pulley. I have $5000 worth of parts sitting in my garage that are there just to allow me to run 25lbs of boost and I havent bought the heads or fuel system yet. No SC kit sold will come with a fuel system that can support that much power.

Fuel System, lets us think about this: Larger Injectors, and a higher volume fuel pump....pretty straight forward????? would you agree? But I do agree with the car choking on the heads and intake manifold I was wondering if by some chance you could run 17psi with that being stock and be ok?Because aftermarket heads....IMO for the 2v cars yeild so little hp gains compared to old 5.0s and 350 chevy's and what not you know?

at 17-18 psi you will make 100% more power anything beyond this is really not efficient and you are better off starting off with a motor with more hp and then adding blower to it. What is your goal and why do you say 2v make minimal gains? At 11 psi w/out headers or mid pipe I am making 390 RWHP some 160 rwhp more than stock.
