well yesterday i was cruisin around for a while and then when i came to stop at a light i noticed my car was idleing really high...like at 2000...i keep driving around for a while and it never changed...when i got home i discontected the neg. battery terminal, left it like that for about 5 min, put it back on and at first it idled fine, but then after driving around it spiked back up again...

anyone know what could be wrong???

is that the sensor thats right in front of the MAF??

looks like that but right on the front of the pleum.....2 bolts i beleive 8 mm

Something like that, just clean it with carb cleaner and you will notice a difference. It happened to me only the opposite. My car was idling really low and i cleaned it with carb cleaner and it was back to normal.

check for vacuum leaks

i checked for vacuum leaks...didn't find any...im gonna let it cool down then i'll clean the iac out and let yall know what happens
