PI swap
im thinkin about doin the pi swap on my 98 gt soon my question is what if i founda wrecked 99-04 mustang gt at a salvage yard and took the heads cams and intake from it? good or bbad idea? and i also heard that if u do the pi swap on the 96-98 gt use have to run premium gas b/c it raises the compression-is this true?

RE: PI swap
You can get the h/c/i off a wrecked car but I'd still have a machine shop look the heads over. I would recommend getting a tune and using 93 after the swap. You may try running 87, but it may detonate and you'd have to lower timing or run premium.

If you find a wrecked car then pull the entire motor and use it. PI SWAPs are for Babies mommas and for nitrous cars.

What?! [:@] Ha ha... You'd have to run 93 and get it tuned or else it'll be a ticking time bomb. I agree with sxynerd (well, some of it ), just swap the entire engine. Take it from someone who has done the PI swap.

RE: PI swap
screw entire motor! its called build the old motor from the bottom up and use the stock pi heads until you have money to port them :]
shoot, im making 260/290 with 9.3:1 CR(new built motor) where as i was making 270/310 with 10.5:1 CR before new motor.
but yeah you'd have to get it tuned soon and use premium gas of course for optimal performance.
